Please keep these papers at home for reference. Mikumi .. here we come! thanks, Anne Just what was going on today in grade 5? There was Scottish country dancing, people climbing through windows, people working on computers, people playing Hide and Seek, people ordered to stay in a certain area and others confused as instructions were in a different language! What was it all about? There were also fantastic discussions taking place after each activity. Why do you think we all did these activities today? How did you feel during the activities? The class bake sale was absolutely fantastic! Everyone was busy all week shopping, baking and on Friday selling the goodies! Here are two of our young chefs, Matthew and Carter, showing their skills and also showing how important it is to be involved in the whole bake sale process! Thanks to all families for providing ingredients, guidance and support. We made 932,000TSH and this will go a long way to helping pay for Mikumi park fees and supper for our Mikumi buddies. Hopefully we will be able to put the rest towards a project at the Mikumi village school.
Enjoy a fabulous Tinga Tinga Folk Tale!
How many elements of a folk tale can you find in: "Why Crocodile Has a Bumpy Back"?? Today some of the class started looking at maths problems that are guaranteed to test the brain ... or boil your brains or ... Chemsha Bongo! See how many answers you can get for the following problem: Using the digits 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, make an addition problem which adds up to 100. Only use each digit once. There are multiple answers ... just how many can you find? Today everyone was excited to receive their Mikumi animal and get started on the research! Soon we will have a class full of experts! Please remember the fact file is only two pages and it has to include all the elements outlined in the handout! Good luck to all of you. The deadline for the fact files to be handed is Wednesday 26th August. We will be laminating the fact files and taking them with us to Mikumi!
